Description
This is a box of axes, knives, and daggers held in the Lisanby collection. There are several types of axes, for woodworking or combat, some adze-axes for woodworking, and two daggers or knives. The items are from varied cultures. Most are bronze and ancient, some are iron and much newer. The bronze examples are largely Luristanian.

The adze-axe is a combination of adze on one side and axe on the other. It would be used for woodworking. The smaller axes here could be used for woodworking or combat, the larger (and duckbill) probably just for combat
